If you're looking for a way to articulate why the Digital world feels so awful, Ed Zitron has a lot to say about the history of the world's descent into the Rot Economy and the increasing enshitification of all things Digital in Never Forgive Them. As with many of his pieces, it's a bit over the top, but I think it stands as a good reminder of how Big Tech is perfectly comfortable ruining the world to capture a few more cents of your money and as much of your time as is humanly possible.

Techdirt, the long running technology blog posted a pretty compelling argument about why any and all tech reporting is inherently political and tied to the fundamentals of our democracy, Why Techdirt Is Now A Democracy Blog (Whether We Like It Or Not). The Trump administration's attacks on all levels of government and their use of regulators like the FCC to threaten and punish businesses and individuals that they do not agree with is a grave danger to the well-being of everyone in the United States and plays a vital role in the events unfolding around us.
